Brown and Scarlett is an award-winning architectural practice with over 45 years of experience. Based in Suffolk, we have a strong reputation for high-quality design.

About Us

We provide a full range of architectural services from feasibility studies through the whole planning process to delivering the scheme construction on site. We work on both Residential and Commercial projects.

We enjoy working with Private clients on smaller alteration projects, full-scale conversions and one-off House designs.

We have particular experience of working on Listed properties and in Conservation Areas.

We work with a wide range of Local and Regional Housing Developers producing bespoke housing schemes in the Local vernacular, across the county.

We regularly produce feasibility layouts for housing schemes from 3 units up to 50 units for landowners and developers to assess project viability.

Whilst wishing to keep our practice on a small scale we work with a regular team of experienced Consultants who provide expertise on Highways, Arboriculture, Ecology & Planning Policy, which allows us to provide our clients with a complete range of skills to bring forward successful projects.

Over the years we have developed a good working relationship with many of the Planning departments in Suffolk & Norfolk which is essential for a successful outcome.

We have advised many local Farming Estates including Kilverstone, Elveden, Thurlow & Higham on both development schemes and refurbishment projects.
